Professor Jong-Ho Lee has been funded by Samsung for a project to develop the fundamental enabling technology for neuromorphic devices as the sole principal investigator.

Samsung Science & Technology Foundation (Samsung STF) announced that they selected and funded Professor Lee's group to investigate neuromorphic device, which is considered to be the key technological enabler to realize artificial intelligence (AI) through deep-learning process. This study with its grant of USD $1,650,000 will last for 4 years starting from year 2014.
